The essential oil is obtained by steam distillation of the dried comminuted rhizomes of Acorus calamus L.

Description : Use with CAUTION. Will irritate skin. Steam distilled from the rhizomes of Acorus Calamus grown in Hungary, Poland, Yugoslavia, Bulgaria, USSR, India, Holland, U.S.A and Japan. The color is pale yellow to pale brown viscous oil with a warm, woody spicy and pleasant odor.
