The essential oil is obtained by steam distillation of the dried fruits of Xanthoxylum armatum D. C.

Appearance

Fluid liquid.

Light yellow.

Aroma

Refreshing, pleasant, spicy.

3. Uses

(a) Being rich in linalool, and also containing limonene, methyl cinnamate and cineole, it is used in the fragrance and flavor industry

(b) Medicinal & Aromatherapy use: Anti-infectious, sedative, arthritis, cholera, toothache

Description : Xanthoxylum Alatum which grows wild in Nepal. The essential oil is a pale yellow to olive yellow liquid of a warm woody, green peppery and spicy odor.
